Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of VerifyDoc (verifydoc.net) (the "Service"), operated by Simcha Fuchs ("we," "us," "our"), an individual operating a sole proprietorship doing business as VerifyDoc. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You may use the Service only if:

• You are at least 18 years old;
• You have the legal authority to bind the entity on whose behalf you are acquiring the Service (if any); and
• Your use complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction.

2. The Service

VerifyDoc is an AI-powered medical-bill review tool. You submit a medical bill — as an uploaded image or PDF, or as pasted text — and the Service uses a third-party large language model to review the charges, decode the billing and procedure codes into plain English, flag line items that may be billing errors (such as duplicates, upcoding, unbundling, phantom charges, and math errors), and generate draft dispute letters for any flagged items. The analysis is informational and reflects only what the AI model infers from the bill you submit; it does not draw on any external pricing database or insurer's records and is not a substitute for advice from your provider, insurer, or a qualified medical billing professional.

We do not guarantee:

• The accuracy, completeness, or currency of any analysis, flag, explanation, or dispute letter the Service produces;
• That any flagged charge is in fact a billing error, or that any charge the Service does not flag is correct;
• That using the Service will result in any savings, refund, bill reduction, or other outcome;
• That a provider, insurer, or other party will accept, respond to, or act on any dispute letter generated by the Service;
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service.

3. Pricing and payment

Current pricing is displayed on the homepage and may change at any time. Current plans:

• Single audit — a one-time fee to review one medical bill.
• Monthly plan — a monthly subscription that includes bill audits for normal personal use, subject to fair-use limits, plus saved report history.
• Family plan — a single subscription covering up to six member accounts under one billing, each subject to the same fair-use limits.

All fees are in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated. Taxes, if applicable, are your responsibility. Payment is processed by Stripe; by paying, you also agree to Stripe's terms.

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all purchases. See the full Refund Policy.

5. Subscription terms

• Subscriptions auto-renew at the then-current price until cancelled.
• You may cancel at any time via the Stripe customer portal link in your receipt email, or by emailing us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• We do not offer pro-rated refunds for mid-cycle cancellations (except under the 30-day money-back guarantee).
• We may change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' notice by email. If you do not agree, cancel before the change takes effect.

6. Your content and responsibilities

You are responsible for all information you provide to the Service. You represent that:

• You have the right to share the information with us;
• The information is accurate to the best of your knowledge;
• You will not submit any data that you are not authorised to disclose (e.g., a bill or protected health information belonging to another person without their consent, or other third-party confidential information).
• You will not use the Service to harass, defraud, or harm others, or to raise a billing dispute you know to be false or misleading.

7. Intellectual property

Your output

You own the specific bill-review reports and draft dispute letters generated for you from the bills you submit. You may edit, save, and use them for any lawful purpose related to your own bills, including sending a dispute letter to your provider or insurer.

Our IP

We own the Service itself: the website, source code, prompts, templates, underlying generation logic, trademarks, and branding. You may not:

• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service or access to it;
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract our prompts or generation logic;
• Use the Service to train a competing AI product;
• Use our name, logo, or trademarks without written permission.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE EXPLICITLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AND LEGAL COMPLIANCE.

WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT: (A) ANY FLAGGED CHARGE IS ACTUALLY A BILLING ERROR, OR THAT ANY UNFLAGGED CHARGE IS CORRECT; (B) USING THE SERVICE WILL RESULT IN ANY SAVINGS, REFUND, BILL REDUCTION, OR OTHER OUTCOME, OR THAT ANY PROVIDER OR INSURER WILL ACCEPT OR ACT ON A DISPUTE LETTER; (C) THE ANALYSIS, EXPLANATIONS, OR DISPUTE LETTERS ARE FREE FROM ERRORS OR OMISSIONS; (D) THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE. THE SERVICE DOES NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL, LEGAL, OR FINANCIAL ADVICE.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:

• Our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service, whether in contract, tort, warranty, or any other legal theory, shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us for the Service in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100), whichever is greater.
• We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including but not limited to amounts billed by or paid to a provider or insurer, missed savings or refunds, lost data, or any other loss resulting from reliance on the Service's analysis, flags, or dispute letters, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
• You acknowledge that the fees charged reflect this allocation of risk and that the Service would not be offered at these prices without these limits.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of certain damages; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Simcha Fuchs and VerifyDoc from and against any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to:

• Your use of the Service;
• Your violation of these Terms;
• Your violation of any law or the rights of any third party;
• Any content, data, or information you provided to the Service;
• Your use of any output of the Service, including sending or otherwise acting on a dispute letter or relying on the Service's analysis of a bill.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these Terms. On termination, provisions that by their nature should survive (e.g., intellectual property, warranty disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law, dispute resolution) will survive.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

13. Dispute resolution — mandatory arbitration and class action waiver

Please read this section carefully. It affects your legal rights.

Informal resolution first

Before filing any formal action, you agree to contact us at support@verifydoc.net and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least thirty (30) days.

Binding arbitration

If informal resolution fails, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Commercial Arbitration Rules. The arbitration will be conducted in English and, unless the parties agree otherwise, on a documents-only basis. The seat of arbitration is Cheyenne, Wyoming, USA.

Class action and jury trial waiver

YOU AND WE EACH WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL AND THE RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION, CLASS ARBITRATION, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. DISPUTES MUST BE BROUGHT INDIVIDUALLY AND CANNOT BE CONSOLIDATED WITH CLAIMS OF OTHER USERS.

Limitation period

Any claim must be filed within one (1) year after the cause of action arises; otherwise it is permanently barred. This period is shorter than the default statute of limitations and is a material condition of the Service being offered at the current price.

Exceptions

Either party may seek injunctive relief in court to protect intellectual property rights or to enforce the arbitration agreement.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date. For material changes, we will provide reasonable notice (e.g., via email if we have your address, or by posting a banner on the homepage). Continued use after the change constitutes acceptance.

15. Miscellaneous

• Entire agreement. These Terms together with the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
• Severability. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
• No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that provision.
• Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign without consent in connection with a sale of the business.
• Force majeure. We are not liable for delays or failures resulting from events beyond our reasonable control.
